The Boy and The Crow

I spotted this scene at a place called Makuti, in Kisauni, Mombasa North.
I don't know if the crow was there for the same reason I was, to cool off from the afternoon heat. It definitely couldn't be bothered, or do much in the stifling heat.

Could it have been different if an adult had tried to chase it off?? I couldn't be bothered to think much either, too many possibilities in a lazy afternoon. And certainly not ready to find out. Only person who seemed curious enough and having a bit of energy was the boy. He was having a rooftop day.

There is always something good in the middle!

There is Sugar Rich Fluid - Nector - Word is it contains close to 20 amino acids found in Proteins.

All in All, Life can be summarized as: -
We are here to add to the good of life.
And not remove the good in it.
Like Pollinators, We add to the value of a flower.

For we are here today and gone tomorrow.

We have to look at life from different angles to appreciate fully its worth.
We have to be(e) the difference in the world.
Stand out. Be proud of what you are and who you are.
And Above all be proud of our Creator.

A trip to Gulu, Northern Uganda

Uganda Post Office Bus - Road trip.

There is an interesting way to travel and see Uganda I must say. And this is by using The bus service operated Uganda Post office bus or Posta bus as its known. The Post Bus offers passenger services  for  the long distance destinations operating from Kampala General Post Office to various towns.

I happened to use the Kampala / Gulu Route. Which takes you from Kampala Town to Gulu, Northern Uganda. The Bus will deliver mail to the small post offices along the route as it operates a passenger service.

Posta Bus departs at 7.a.m from either town Kampala / Gulu. The Kampala to Gulu Bus, departs from Kampala General Post office. While the Gulu to Kampala bus, departs from Gulu Post office.

There is no reservations, maybe this has changed with Time. You just show up at their offices - General Post Office, with all your luggage  and hope to get a ticket for that time. Upon successfully acquiring one, you undergo a security search before your luggage is loaded onto the bus.

If you don't succeed getting a ticket / seat, you can always try coming earlier the following morning.

Caution though - There is only 1 bus per day going either direction.

The Kampala - Gulu Route Gioes through : Bombo - Wobulenzi - Kafu - Kigumba - Bweyale - Corner Kamdini-Minakulu - Bobi - Gulu

Wobulezi Post office
We departed from the GPO via Wandegeya, Makerere University, and Joined the Bombo Road. We passed some small village centers. Evenually we got to Wobulenzi Post office. (55km)

Luweero Post Office
Next Town Luweero. Post office staff were eargly waiting for the bus. For New mail from Kampala and to send others to towns further North.

We had a small stop over to pick up more passengers.

Masindi junction.

Mid-way Through the trip. Passengers have an opportunity to stretch their legs and literally go for a pit stop. Relax a bit while replenishing their depleted water. A bottle of cold water on a hot day is always welcome. Quite refreshing.

Masindi Junction leads off to Masindi town leading to Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda's National parks favourite with tourist.
